4th Aqua Terra Challenge

December 15 - 18, 2016

In December 2016, teams will pit skills against each other in a one-of-a-kind time trial, racing on land and water to win the 4th edition of the Aqua Terra Challenge. A first of its kind, the Aqua Terra Challenge beckons you to combine your skills, teamwork and your abilities to the fore, making it the foremost multi-discipline adventure races in India today.

The Aqua Terra Challenge brings us together to remember the June-2013 flood victims of Uttarakhand, and hopes to bring people back to this beautiful part of India.
Charity Partner Aqua Terra Charity Trust is supporting the event to help bring back opportunities, choices, resources, essential services into the lives of many in Uttarakhand.

The event is spread over 2 days of challenge, involving a time based grueling walk followed by a 26km cycling leg to the third and very exciting leg of the event – a 25 km raft / inflatable kayak race down the mighty Ganges.

The Event

This 2-day open Challenge has two separate categories, involving teams of 2 or 4 persons.
While both categories cover the same trek and cycling sections, the 2 person teams will do the river section in inflatable kayaks, while the 4 person teams will do the same in rafts.

Women Bonus Points: 10% of the maximum individual points, so if 50 racers it would be 50 points per leg. Also the bonus points allow a woman to win an individual leg prize (if it exists) in the event she finishes 5th or higher.

The AQUA TERRA Challenge is set in an arena that does justice to this 2 day multi-stage event.

This adventure race is designed to appeal to a wide set – from complete novices to the more experienced adventure racers. If you have a team that wants to go out and test themselves, and to help raise funds for a cause, we would be glad to have you participate!
