More than a third of the Himalayas lie in India, spanning the entire northern stretch of the sub-continent – an astonishing arc nearly 3200 kilometers long. Ladakh, most often referred to as the ‘little Tibet’, transports you to the high-altitude world of dramatic landscapes, rugged passes, ancient Buddhist monasteries and gentle, benign people.

What We Offer
Aquaterra Adventures operates river and mountain trips throughout the Indian Himalaya – from the Zanskar and Indus rivers in Ladakh to the Brahmaputra and Lohit rivers in Arunachal Pradesh. This vast span of river repertoire is made possible by a “hands on” operation and a backbone of the country’s most experienced river and mountain guides and state of the art equipment. We have organised several trips for kayakers who want all logistics sorted out, sometimes even provided raft support on longer sections.

We have serviced over 10,000 guests in over 25 years since we started operations 1995 with each of our trips restricted to 12 on Treks and 16 on River Rafting expeditions keeping in mind traffic at campsites, sensitivity to camp grounds with regards to toilets and reasonable camping privacy within camp and between other campsite users.
