Zajnai Valley Trek

Trekking in Kashmir and parts of Kishtawar, Warwan valley has its attractions, pristine, trail passes through lush green alpine valleys and offers spectacular views of some of the Kishtwar mountains and valleys. Zagnai Valley trek which starts in the main Warwan valley is a virgin trek with moderate walking. We drive from Srinagar airport to Daksum where we stay for a night before driving over Margan pass (3380mts) to explore its lakes, and to your trek starting point at Mingli Village.
The Margan Top has a 360-degree view of the Kashmir valley on one side and the Warwan valley on the other, surrounded by beautiful meadows all around. During the summers, when the wildflowers bloom in unison, the surrounding meadows of the Margan Top show a cascade of colors. The long, grassy expanses are home to thousands of sheep and goats brought here by the tribesmen of Gujjars and Bakerwal to graze for some months during summer.
DAYS 1-3
- Day 1: Srinagar Airport – Hotel in Srinagar
After arrival at Srinagar airport, transfer to Srinagar Hotel.
- Day 2: Srinagar – Mingli Village (3380 M )
Today after breakfast we drive for about 3 Hours over Margan pass 3380mts after stopping on the pass for mountain views we drive down to Wardwan Valley and reach Mingli Village for a night stay. Later walk around the village
- Day 3: Mingli Village – Gurwas (3000 M)
After breakfast trail starts ascending for about 2 to 3hrs and followed with gradual walk-through meadows to our days camp.
DAYS 4-7
- Day 4: Gurwas – Tramsar (3400 M)
Today after breakfast we immediately start climbing through pristine green pastures, till we reach camp at Tramsar after a moderate to stiff uphill, overnight stay at Tramsar in tents.
- Day 5: Tramsar – Walk To The View Point
Today offers a panoramic view of Bramah Mountain and other unnamed peaks around it. Close to view point have Two high-altitude lakes named as Nag Mandoo and Tramsar lake. Walk back to Tramsar Camp for an overnight stay.
- Day 6: Tramsar-Zajnai (3000 M)
We trek today through some beautiful mountain landscapes, we start with a gradual downhill and traverse for about 3 hours and continue to descend for another 2-3 hours to our camp at Zajnai, overnight at Zajnai in tents.
- Day 7: Zajnai – Via Mingli Village To Srinagar
Today is a walk mostly downhill till we get over to the valley floor of Warwan Valley, upon arriving at Warwan we board our vehicles to drive for about 4-5 hours to Srinagar, overnight in the hotel and or houseboat at Srinagar.
- Day 8: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Airport for onward journey. TRIP ENDS

- All arrangements for staying and camping while on trip
- Accommodation on twin sharing basis in tents / rest house / hotel
- All meals as mentioned in itinerary & safe drinking water
- All group climbing gear (ropes, anchors, slings, etc.) And individual climbing gear – hired (ice axe, crampons, etc)
- All trekking arrangements with india’s most experienced guiding team, camp staff and cooks
- Porterage Upto 15kg/Person
- Peak fee/sanctuary fee/royalty/permits where applicable
Exclusions:
- Sleeping bag
- Any transfers or meals outside of itinerary
- Bottled water
- Items of personal clothing
- Expenses of any personal nature (laundry / phone calls / alcohol / cigarettes / insurance / camera fee / etc.)
- Any expense incurred due to force of nature such as landslides, bad weather or reasons beyond our control
- Tips & gratuities (we recommend 5-10% of your trip cost- to be distributed among the team) – personal choice
